Dr. Collier is a therapist and educator whose clinical work focuses on adolescents and adults suffering from mental illness, behavioral problems and substance use disorders and the effects of Social Media and screen use on brain development. She will present a comprehensive prevention model, which teaches the neurodevelopmental effects of risky behavior to students, school staff and families.
Her prevention model was selected for the Prevention and Education Commendation from the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
Dr. Collier received the Torch Bearer Award from the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, Outstanding Research Award from the Association of Alternative Peer Groups, and voted Counselor of the Year by the Houston Counseling Association.

- State Representative Dustin Burrows (District 83) will tell us about his experiences in helping care for the Uvalde community after their tragic shooting and help us understand the dynamics related to this sort of tragedy and strategies to increase safety measures.
- State Representative Carl Tepper (District 84) will discuss funding and State support for mental health services.
